For main contractors, shopfitters and design teams

The finishing trade package, applied by our own team.

Color Revolution Ltd is a London decorative finishes subcontractor. Polished plaster, clay plaster, tadelakt, microcement, concrete effect, decorative resin and external render — priced against a written scope, integrated into your programme, and applied by our own operatives rather than sublet on.

Our director has worked in decorative finishes since 2008. Since 2020 we have invoiced over £1.8M of applied finishes, from single feature walls to repeat national retail rollouts.

Manufacturer systems

Specification

Specifiers name a system, not a trowel. We work across the decorative finish systems specified in the UK market rather than being tied to a single manufacturer.

Where your finishes schedule names a system we have not worked with, we apply it to that manufacturer’s specification and take their training or certification where the system requires it. Either way, a benchmark panel is signed off by the design team before full application begins.

How we deliver on a live site

Sequence
  1. Survey and substrate assessment

Moisture, flatness, movement and previous coatings checked and reported in writing before we price the finish. Where a substrate is not ready to receive the finish, we say so before starting — not afterwards.

  2. Sample and benchmark approval

Sample boards in the specified colour, then an on-site benchmark panel signed off by the design team before full application begins.

  3. Programme integration

We work to your programme, including phased areas, out-of-hours working and works within trading stores.

  4. Protection and site discipline

Full protection of adjacent finishes, daily clean-down, and project-specific RAMS issued before mobilisation.

  5. Application

Applied by our own trained operatives to the manufacturer’s system specification, with wet-edge and shift planning appropriate to the area.

  6. Snagging and handover

Joint inspection on completion, snag list closed out, and written care and maintenance guidance issued.

What we need

Anything missing from this list we raise as a written qualification rather than pricing it blind.

  • Drawings or a finishes schedule showing the areas involved and the specified system.
  • Substrate type and the condition it will be handed over to us in — new plasterboard, wet plaster, existing tiling, screed or existing coatings.
  • Programme dates and any restrictions: phased areas, out-of-hours working, occupied or trading premises.
  • Site conditions: access, welfare, storage, power and water, and any accreditation or insurance thresholds we are required to meet.
  • Whether the finish material is client-supplied or supplied by us, and whether a benchmark panel is required before full application.

Send the drawings. We’ll come back with a price.

Sample boards in your specified colour, RAMS, insurance certificates and a fuller project reference list are all issued on request.
